Day 171 of 365
Responding to Injustice
Romans 12:19
Romans 12:19
“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' says the Lord.”
Reflection
When you're wronged, revenge feels justified. They hurt you; you want to hurt them back. But God says don't take revenge. Why? Because vengeance belongs to Him. He sees what you can't. He knows what you don't. He will handle it justly. When you take revenge, you interfere with God's justice and damage your soul. Trust God to settle accounts. Your job is to forgive, pray, and let go. His job is to avenge. Step back. Let God be God. He will repay.
