Day 77 of 365
Bearing Good Fruit
John 15:5
John 15:5
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
Reflection
Fruitfulness isn't about trying harder; it's about staying connected. Branches don't strain to produce fruit - they simply stay attached to the vine, and fruit happens naturally. Same with you. When you abide in Christ - spending time with Him, obeying His Word, relying on His strength - fruit grows automatically. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. You can't manufacture these qualities; they're produced by the Spirit as you stay connected to Jesus. Disconnected branches wither. Connected branches flourish. Today, evaluate your connection to Christ. Are you abiding or striving? Spending daily time with Him or running on fumes? Fruit is the evidence of your connection. Stay connected. The fruit will come.
